installation
+OR-
+OR- is an interactive videoinstallation by fluido aka Antonio Giacomin in which the two symbols + and - are projected. Based on tweets containing the words "positivo" or "negativo" (italian for positive and negative) the dimension of the symbols increase or decrease the dimension based on which word has more tweets. The numbers count the daily tweets with the keywords. The public can intaract with the installation twitting on their account a message containing the words "positivo" or "negativo" and the message will compare in the installation after a few seconds and the respective symbol increase dimension.
“I started from the meaning of positive and negative, words, strictly connected to good, nice or bad, sad. But when we talk about HIV the meaning suddenly inverts. The open call for the World AIDS Day with the title more ore less positive (più o meno positivi) created a conceptual loop regarding the meaning of the two terms and the first thing I made was to observe their use on social media. The installation is very simple, the dimension of symbols + and - is conencted to the number of tweets containing the two words and opens a point of view on situazions, emotions, hopes, moments shared by thousands all over the world.”

URIZEN
The videoinstallation is inspired by William Blake’s poem The book of Urizen and by the drawings that accompany his texts in general.
The videos are synchronized and show the birth of Urizen, a mythical character invented by Blake, who represents the rationality, the rules and everything that opposes the fantasy and the feelings.
